If anything, the election this year is one of the most significant, for gay rights, and for women's rights. Obama recognizes that we LGBT citizens deserve equality and has done a lot for our community. Yes, you have the crowds that say that he took too long to officially show his support for marriage equality. I'm actually happy that he took his time to "evolve" his opinion, rather than make a split second on the mark comment that may have been taken the wrong way.
He threw out DADT, he blasted the Republicans in his DNC speech for blaming us for problems. Romney wants to start the process of stripping away the progress that President Obama has made. If you want our community to move forward to equality....vote Obama.

In terms of women's rights, esp our reproductive rights, the Republicans want to in a way, have control over the choices that we have for our bodies. I personally don't want the government to have their say over what should be done to my body. It's my body. My head, my heart, my womb, my vagina *yes, I said the v word because it's important and it's the correct term* and the government should have no say. I determine what my body goes through. I will address the women's rights in an upcoming post.
